BUILDING A DREAM WITH ELIZABETH BEAN SMITH

FOR THE YEAR AHEAD
It is Day 11 of 2022 already. It seems like life continues to pass by faster and faster each year, which I love, but also kinda hate. But nonetheless I am thankful for life and the continued opportunity to keep plowing ahead.
For me, 2021 was such an interesting year. A year that started out with lots of hope, seemingly kind of simmered and left me feeling depleted, unexcited, stressed and burned out. My goal of going further happened indeed, but left me without the results I was hoping for.
DRY JANUARY ‘22
It’s Day 1 of 2022 and I’ve definitely got those new year feels. We are spending the day purging and sorting through my 50,000 pieces of clothing and getting an idea of what we need to do at the new house during this first quarter. Needless to say, your girl will be spending all the coins on everything home. Every small thing you need is minimally $100 and every big thing you need is minimally $1000. Bless it. However, we are not here to talk about my home ownership problems (which we will later), but rather how we are focusing and resetting for the new year.

FAMILY TRADITIONS
It’s hard to believe that Jason and I are approaching 9 married years together (in June 2022) and how our traditions have evolved since our first Christmas. I remember us chatting about what our plans would be for that first year. I was determined we would go to Bainbridge and he was determined we would go to Ashtabula. T
GRATITUDE
Thankfulness. It’s something that we think about in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. But truthfully, thankfulness should be a part of our daily heart posture. Being the busy bee that I am, it can be hard for me to maintain a place of gratitude and thankfulness in my every day. Most days I am flying around like a madwoman, often finding something to complain about or stressing about things that don’t ultimately matter
THE ART OF TIPPING
I’ll never forget my first true experience with tipping. It was in Fall 2011 while sitting in a charming restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen during a visit to New York City with some of then college peers. These were the days of cash tipping I must add.
Transitional Style: Summer to Fall
Full disclosure. It is as hot as you know what outside and I’m already wearing sweaters. Ok, I’m not wearing sweaters this week, because it is so abnormally warm here in Ohio, but last week I legit wore this sweater with NO SHAME.
10 Fashion Staples To Invest In From The Nordstrom Sale
Well, the day of public access for the Nordstrom sale is upon us! And as promised, I wanted to deliver you with some insights on some quality things you can invest from this year’s sale.
From Further To Remain
As usual, yet another month is flying by. July began and I feel that things are moving over 100 mph, which is really interesting as I usually find July to be a quiet month. Not the case this year and I believe that is a direct result of our wild COVID year. Maybe it is just me, but it feels like we are trying to play catchup or make up for the lost time we had in 2020. Or maybe this consistent level of busyness is just the norm now. I don’t know, but I do know I am tired!
Summer Office Look (or maybe just Casual Friday?)
Summertime. Sweet summertime. She’s finally here and I am beyond delighted. As I have shared, one of the things I love about summer is how it provides me with the opportunity to really change things up with my style.
SEVEN SUMMER ESSENTIALS
The time has come. Well, seasonally speaking it already feels like summer, but now it will be official, as the calendar will soon eclipse June 2oth.

Skincare Change Up The Summer Days Ahead
Hello Summertime. Well not yet, but almost. Can you even believe that June is nearing? I can’t, because it feels like just yesterday we were welcoming 2021 and now we are halfway through the year.
A Hair Miracle: Pantene Pro-V Miracle Rescue Collection
Hair. I am incredibly picky about my hair. I like what I like and will go the extra mile to wear it how I like it. Over the years, I’ve experimented with a few different things, like wearing extensions and box braids.
Your Affordable Spring Denim Right HERE!
Spring is officially here, which means it is time for us to refresh those wardrobes. I don’t know about you, but refreshing my wardrobe feels like an extra major priority after the wild year that 2020 presented to us.
Dare to DREAM
There are many life lessons my mom instilled in my sisters and myself. I hold nearly every one of those lessons dear to my heart. But there is one lesson in particular that I am incredibly thankful for and that was her constant encouragement for us to DREAM BIG.
