BUILDING A DREAM.

I’ll never forget the day that I discovered Wardrobe Therapy on Instagram. It was one of those moments in life when you say to yourself, β€œI have to know these people!” At the time, the people I get to now call colleagues and work family, was just Christy Walsh and Elizabeth Bean Smith. It’s hard to believe that I have been with WT for almost 5 years (upcoming this September).

As you guys know, I endlessly share about the work that I am so privileged and delighted to do everyday. Working with clients is definitely a highlight, but the other highlight is co-laboring with people I’ve grown to love and call my work family, which has been made possible through Elizabeth’s fostering. Since the day I joined the team, Elizabeth, partner and founder of Wardrobe Therapy, has iterated the importance of community mindedness, loving our clients well, which means we in turn must love and care for one another well, becuase our work is an overflow of our togetherness. Always eager to share, to encourage and edify, when it came to talking about building a dream, I knew that I wanted Elizabeth to speak on this. So last May, just a few days after a very traumatic egg retrieval (which might explain why I lack in energy and say the same 5 words throughout this entire video…bless it.), Elizabeth carved out time to chat with me, so that I could then share with YOU!

During our 30 minute chat, we dive into her discovery of fashion, where she started in this industry, when she realized she needed to pivot after having an incredibly successful career at Express and how she discovered there was an area of opportunity to build something she knew was valuable and allowed that to be the catalyst of a dream that we now know as Wardrobe Therapy!

I hope this time with us inspires you to live out that gumption you feel in your gut, to dream it out and most importantly, ACT ON IT.

EN VERITE,

Candace
