MY EVERYDAY MAKEUP THAT IS MAKEUP ARTIST APPROVED
Back in the day, I was totally the girl who had a serious makeup kit. Part of that is attributed to the fact that I grew up as a pageant girl, and in ballet and theater, so I spent a lot of time in this sort of creative process that called for a lot of makeup. And while that was a really fun part of my life and I look back on it fondly, now I’m 33 and really don’t like using as much product. And that is contributed to a number things…not having a lot of time in the mornings, wanting to have naturally great skin and more. Having this realization has really started this slow evolution of “less is more,” when it comes to makeup.
WHAT TO INVEST or WHAT TO SKIP
Let’s be truthful: There are a lot of service options out there.
Just off the top of my head, we have microblading, brow lamination, brow waxing, acrylic nails, gel nails, gel pedicures, sugaring, and the list goes on and on.
I truly believe that one hundred percent of these services can bring value to your life. However, over the course of the last several years, I’ve come to realize that it is in my best interest to truly prioritize which services would serve me best, and invest in those.
TRAMUA ASSOCIATED WITH A SERV ICE EXPERIENCE
I’m talking about trauma associated with a bad service experience or should we say unmet expectations.
HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR CALM DURING THESE FINAL HOLIDAYS
I’m sure I’m not alone in this… but I often find the December calendar to be stressful! While most of us absolutely love the holidays, spending time with family and friends can add a layer of tension for a lot of people. As I have delved into the journey of learning about myself and learning to better love others, I’ve been able to find small ways that pack a big punch in maintaining my sense of calm during these final holidays.
TAKE IT FROM THE PROS: HOLIDAY HAIR & MAKEUP ELEVATE
Ladies. The holiday parties have commenced. Whoop whoop. I can’t lie…I do love any and every excuse to dress up. It’s my love fashion language…truly. My love of all things beauty, fashion and hair really comes from a lifetime of wearing dance costumes and competing in pageants, which was literally many moons ago. My life has changed a lot since spending time on stage, including my approach to hair and makeup (Thank the Lord). For my OG girls here…you might remember that about 8 to 10 years ago we were all wearing full faces of makeup on the daily and doing all the things to the hair.
HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE NO.1: THE IN -LAWS
As you gals know, I very much have a love/hate relationship with Gift Guides. Always have. Perhaps this is too much honesty on a Wednesday morning, but here we are. Of the course of the this year, I’ve had lots of conversations with various people in my circle of this crazy influencer world and have realized that a part of my job here is to serve YOU.

GRATITUDE
Thankfulness. It’s something that we think about in the days leading up to Thanksgiving. But truthfully, thankfulness should be a part of our daily heart posture. Being the busy bee that I am, it can be hard for me to maintain a place of gratitude and thankfulness in my every day. Most days I am flying around like a madwoman, often finding something to complain about or stressing about things that don’t ultimately matter
THE ART OF TIPPING
I’ll never forget my first true experience with tipping. It was in Fall 2011 while sitting in a charming restaurant in Hell’s Kitchen during a visit to New York City with some of then college peers. These were the days of cash tipping I must add.
Summer Office Look (or maybe just Casual Friday?)
Summertime. Sweet summertime. She’s finally here and I am beyond delighted. As I have shared, one of the things I love about summer is how it provides me with the opportunity to really change things up with my style.
Skincare Change Up The Summer Days Ahead
Hello Summertime. Well not yet, but almost. Can you even believe that June is nearing? I can’t, because it feels like just yesterday we were welcoming 2021 and now we are halfway through the year.
A Hair Miracle: Pantene Pro-V Miracle Rescue Collection
Hair. I am incredibly picky about my hair. I like what I like and will go the extra mile to wear it how I like it. Over the years, I’ve experimented with a few different things, like wearing extensions and box braids.
A Life Sans Alcohol: Why I Decided To Stop Drinking
I remember the exact moment…the time, the place, the people I was surrounded by when I had my first social experience with alcohol.
My Journey with Adult Acne
Adult acne…two words I never thought I would be speaking about personally. But it happened and oh boy was I not prepared for it. It has been nearly a 7-year battle, but I am feeling confident about the progress I’ve made and want to share that with you all. As you may know, I believe there is something so liberating about sharing your personal experiences…you provide this unique opportunity for others to gain insights, practical tidbits, encouragement, and more.
