I’ve been a dress lover since my younger years. My mom use to make me all kinds of dresses during my elementary school days. I specifically remember the sunflower dress she made me, as well as the balloon dress. I should try to find photos of those so I can share them with Y'all...you would get a good laugh for sure.

Ever since my young college days, I've always been that girl who wears her ankle boots ALLLLL YEAR LONG. There's one outfit I remember specifically...a tan printed Old Navy dress with tan cowboy ankle boots, also from Old Navy. I thought I was super cool! In fact, a photo of that exact look just popped in my timeline a few weeks ago...maybe I should share it. haha.

Luxe like weekend wear? Ahhh yes, please. Unlike most folks, it's on the weekend when I really try to step up my style game. As a stylist, Monday thru Friday I try to keep my clothing pretty simple, but stylish. Lots of running from here to there!

It's Wednesday and I've got my PARTY DRESS on. Haha. Honestly, I think it was a Saturday or Tuesday when we took these photos, but you get the point. haha. It's no new news that I absolutely love Sherri Hill Designs. In fact, this love affair started in 2008 when I began the hunt for the perfect Miss Georgia evening gown. To make a long story short, I found the evening gown of my dreams and the rest is history.

From boldly bright to soft pastels in NOLA. I've gotta admit, I'm kinda sad that this is the last post of this little style series! Perhaps one of the things I love most about traveling is the new inspiration it gets for me. Without question, I always leave feeling more inspired and ready to get something new and magical!

It's no surprise at all, but I LIVE for the bright, citrus-like colors. There's just something about orange and yellow (especially yellow) that makes me super happy. Insert happy sigh! Back in February, I shot this fun look down in NOLA (on a rather balmy Saturday). We were scooting along and happened upon this burnt orange wall, which made for the perfect backdrop for this bright spring-like look!

Just a few weeks ago, en route home from a trip down South, I made a quick pitstop in Baton Rouge to visit my frand, Taylor. Without the slightest hesitation, we ventured over to NOLA for a day of adventure and it was pretty much incredible. I mean...I basically ate all day. I'm a foodie, so I was living my best life!

Every now and again, I get fixated on a trend...one of those being the slip dress movement. It's completely feminine, luxe and sexy in my opinion! With all of these adjectives in mind, I do think it can be a little daunting to style the slip dress tho...just in case you haven't noticed, I'm a pretty conservative gal.

Welp, I think we have officially hit that awkward time in the year where winter isn't exactly over, but it isn't exactly spring! Getting dressed in the mornings can be a little extra complicated as you are likely over your winter clothing and ready to purchase a few new things, but it's the awkward seasonal timing that makes you think twice.

Happy Galentine's Day! And yes, I promise this is a real holiday...I mean...just search Google and you'll see that I am indeed correct. When I was chatting with Jason about our Galentine's Day content, he was like "What is Galentine's Day?"  The last thing we need in America is another holiday to celebrate, but I will gladly take any opportunity to celebrate the gals that I love and adore.

When it comes to Valentine's Day (or truly any date night for that matter) Jason knows I want both a fanciful and charming experience. I just can't help it. I love any excuse to dress up and experience something uniquely beautiful with the one I love. Just in case you haven't noticed, I'm the corny one in our relationship!

I can deny it no longer…I’ve joined the Podcast Phenomenon. I know, I know. Us podcast listeners are strange folks. It’s totally one of those things that you love or hate. To be completely honest, I thought I was gonna be a total podcast hater, but I’m soooooooo into it.

It’s funny to think that as life changes, so do your friendships and relationships with others. To be honest, I don’t think that is something that most of us like to think about. However, it is a simple reality of life.  While this season of life can be brutally painful, it is also amazingly wonderful to see what new friendships come to the surface.

At the beginning of the year, I always find myself taking inventory of my skincare regimen and figuring out how I should move forward with it. The end of 2017 presented lots of lifestyle changes for me, which naturally affects one's skin. And not to mention, here in Ohio we are having the most brutally cold weather, which also demands taking that skincare regimen up a notch! And lastly, with 30 on the horizon, I had been itching to change up my routine and REALLY go after my silky-soft skin goals.

Hello 2-0-1-8. This is my first official blog of the YEAR! While it wasn't planned, I decided to take a little time away from the blog to get focused for the year. Here's the fact of the matter, you can't plan properly or make attainable goals when you are running around like a chicken with your head cut off.

And we are TWO SLEEPS away from NEW YEARS EVE! Just in case you missed the excitement in that first sentence, I'm pretty jazzed for NYE. In fact, it's one of my favorite holidays! There's just some about getting dressed up, going out for a steak dinner, sipping fake champs and staying up until midnight that makes my heart sing!

There's no doubt about it...I'm a sucker for the more fanciful things in life. I love getting dressed up, having my hair done and getting my nails done! As I've said before, just ask my mom and she will tell you that I've been an ultimae Priss Pot since my early years. haha.

After several weeks of lovely holiday style outfits, I realized that I forgot to chat about one of the most practical ways one might approach adding a little holiday glamour for the season...BEAUTY PRODUCTS. Duh. Without question, rounding up the correct beauty products is one of the easiest ways you can make your holiday look perfect for the season!

I got share my style secret for da season...Banana Republic has been beyond good to my wardrobe this year! It's truly become one of my go-to places for chic statement pieces. Let me just be honest, I'm popping in about once a week...that's how much I'm loving them right now! That's a whole lot of LOVE.

While I know I often start every post like this, you gals are fully aware of my love for beauty products. I mean, I've devoted every ounce of my bathroom storage to beauty products! It could borderline be an issue, but we won't go there for now.  As you may have read in another post from this week (or a previous holiday post), I've made it my new life goal to gift intentionally!
