Welp, that was fast.

And just like that (can you believe that I still have not watched that yet?!), April is here and 2022 is just flying by. Honestly, I am not sure why I am even surprised by the fact that time is consistently speeding by. It’s not new news, but I am shocked every time.

As you gals know, the last few years have been very transformative for me. It’s been a sweet season of learning, growing and evolving. A season of learning about myself, which I know in turn will allow me to love others better and be more lovable. The shifting of this season has allowed me to uncover so many areas of my life that can often keep me bound and fixated on things. One of those areas is my obsession with the perfect plan, perfect routine and so on. Type A people like things tidy, trim and on par at all times. However, the reality of life makes that impossible. Did I just say that? Yup, I sure did. But the beautiful thing about not being able to have things perfect at all times or not accomplishing exactly what you wanted is that it leaves room for a reset. An opportunity to look at things with a fresh perspective…to realign based on the reality of your season (and not the ideal). Although it might not appear to be a gift, it truly is.

Being the annual new year dreamer that I am, the last two years have taught me some things about not being fixated on just accomplishing the thing ahead. The COVID stay-at-home order taught me that sometimes we have to sit all the way down and just wait…even though it is painful. Also, during that season, I was venturing through the world of IVF and IUI, which are some of those life experiences that teach you, despite doing everything right, you STILL may not get the outcome you were hoping for…it’s a hard thing to swallow, but again the reality of life. This hard season taught me the beauty of having quarterly resets. While we might have goals and things we want to tackle for the year, I learned that it is equally important to create space to reset. Because I am linear in every way, I liked the idea of doing this in front of a new quarter. It kinda feels like a new year to me. This reset allows me to look at everything I journaled and reflected upon and create a fresh moment of alignment, to nix the things that are no longer important and add something new that now might be priority based on the realities of life.

We’ve got just 2.5 weeks left in April, but I am hoping you will allow me to share a touch about ways you can quarterly reset:

Your Closet

Your Soul

For Your Family

I’m excited for this.
