Is it worth the investment?
That is a question I find myself asking a lot these days, as I grow older. I am not questioning the value of the service I am exploring, but questioning my willingness to make the necessary sacrifice in order to invest in this something that I know will likely change my life for the better.
Before becoming a service provider myself, I will be the first to admit that I had a very different outlook on investing in services. In fact, I use to experience a sense of disbelief when I discovered the cost of something (for example: a sew in) and would try to then explore ways that I could get the service cheaper. But here’s the thing...cheaper isn’t always better. When you are likely looking for that nearly perfect outcome (in whatever area of life), you are placing a demand on an outcome. And when there is demand for a nearly perfect outcome, there is a premium associated with that.
For the month of May, we are delving into a little conversation I would like to title, “Leave It To The Pros.” The heart behind this conversation is to create some thoughtfulness in various areas of our lives where we might need to explore professional help regarding style, beauty, hair, home, etc. I will be talking you through how I approach this for my own life, some various areas that I’ve invested in and how it has changed my life/home for the better. And lastly, I will be sharing a full well-fashioned service guide to some of the greatest service providers in the Columbus area + beyond. Just ask my husband and friends, I set the bar high when it comes to incredible service and am excited to share my discoveries with you and to also learn from you too.
Up first for this 4 part series, we are going to be delving into why hire a wardrobe stylist. Stay tuned for this post early next week. But in the meantime, I am going to be sharing a round up for those recommendations via Instagram stories today!
EN VERITE,
Candace
