3 Winter-to-Spring Outfit Ideas

Welp, I think we have officially hit that awkward time in the year where winter isn’t exactly over, but it isn’t exactly spring! Getting dressed in the mornings can be a little extra complicated as you are likely over your winter clothing and ready to purchase a few new things, but it’s the awkward seasonal timing that makes you think twice. I know, I know. I’ve been there! With the heavy rains in the forecast and the breath of Spring happening this week, I’m going to encourage you to live your life and start transitioning that winter wardrobe into spring! In hopes of getting you inspired, I’ve teamed up with Polaris Fashion Place to share 3 perfectly chic late winter, yet early spring appropriate outfits!

LOOK NO. 1

Time to trade those bulky winter sweaters for more lightweight ones. This ribbed, bell-sleeve sweater from Francesca’s makes the perfect winter-to-spring transitional piece. Depending on the temps, you can throw on your heavy winter coat or your trench and you are ready to go. To top off this cute sweater, I finished off this look by incorporating two trends we’ll be seeing a lot of this Spring and that is dramatic statement earrings and sheer fabrics. Both the earrings and scarf give this outfit just the “boom” it needs to make you feel spring chic!

LOOK NO. 2

By now, you are ready to rid yourself of tights and leggings. I hear ya sister. When it comes to skirts and seasonal transitioning, opt for longer lengths! There’s nothing like a new skirt to get you excited for the warmer temperatures that are on the horizon! When styling your skirts during this time of the year, be sure to balance your bare legs by adding a longer layering piece on top, like I did with this turtleneck from Chicos. Balancing the look is important, as you want to look stylishly appropriate for the two seasons at hand! Also, when it comes to skirt shopping, I encourage you check out Brooks Brothers! They have some good pieces. This skirt from the Zac Posen Collection is pretty much my new favorite. Even my husband loves it! woot woot.

LOOK NO. 3

Refresh your wardrobe by picking up a new blazer! A blazer is a great way to start thinking about your Spring outer pieces. I found this beauty at J. Crew and you’ll be delighted to know it comes in a variety of colors! Perhaps what I love most about a good blazer is that you can layer it with a heavy knit to get through the remainder of winter or opt for a thinner knit as the seasons begin to change. For this look, I opted for one of my newer knits from Chicos, which is amazingly comfortable and breathable (aka perfect for layering). For a little touch of spring wanderlust, I added a scarf belt to my denim and threw on this cute medium sized statement earring from J. Crew!

And there you have it my darling dears! Just a few ideas to get you excited about Winter-to-Spring outfitting. Which of these looks has you itching to get shopping and freshen up that wardrobe of yours?!
