ARE YOU UP FOR A LITTLE CHALLENGE?

It’s the beginning of the year, which means many of us are resetting in our own unique way. Maybe you just finished Dry January, or you’re participating in a spending or shopping fast.  Perhaps you’re making fitness a priority, choosing to fast from food or television, or even making the effort to get up earlier. No matter how you’re doing it, there are all sorts of ways to start the year with a reset and recalibration. There is just something so magical about starting the year with a clean slate, isn’t there? Doing a beginning of the year reset brings a sense of calm and positivity and allows you to start the year off on the right foot.

Back in the day, something that I used to do really frequently was a ninety day shopping fast. It would commence on January 1 and would go through just about all of March. It felt pretty daunting at the beginning, but it was amazing how doing a fast like this really made the winter months fly by.  And while I’m not doing that this year, I like to practice some of the principles I learned throughout my days of shopping fasts. One of the things I liked about this challenge is that it really encouraged me to get into the wardrobe and get creative with what I already had. I had the boundaries in place for those ninety days to not spend or actually even think about online shopping or going to boutique for myself to find that something, but instead to really look at the entirety of my wardrobe.  I hate to admit it, but there have been plenty of times over the years that I have found pieces I had completely forgotten about! And through that challenge, some of my best outfits have been made. I’ve been challenged creatively, pushed stylistically, and have really explored the pieces I already own, which has brought me to this very post: 28 Days of Style.

28 Days of Style is a little challenge that we’re going to do together as a community. For the next month, I’m going to encourage you to not shop, but to work with what you already have.  It’s going to encourage us to look within our wardrobe in total, and come up with unique, creative outfit ideas and solutions that can get us through the next 28 days of February.  I don’t know about you, but I much prefer to do any type of reset within community alongside other people. It holds me accountable, makes us feel less alone, and is the perfect way to get inspired by others. If you could use a little wardrobe-recalibration and a winter reset, this is the challenge for you!

So, all the details that you’ll need to complete this challenge are going to be down below. You’ll find a map, a guide, and some accountability, if you will. If you’ve been looking for a unique way to reset this winter, this is the perfect opportunity.  One bonus point for this challenge is that it might work assist in a financial goals you may be working towards since you won’t be spending. It’s always nice when two resets work hand-in-hand.  Or if you are me, your husband will just be happy you aren’t shopping and that he can spend more $$$ on golf. Haha.

Starting February 1, today, we’re going to start to get creative with our wardrobe and make some magic from within. Building a wardrobe isn’t always about buying new things! Sometimes it’s about pushing yourself creatively, getting out of the box, and exercising that styling muscle so that way you get exactly what you’re looking for. I’m excited for this and to see the magical look you create!

EN VERITE,
