Another Year Older...

And today, I'm another year older. It's funny. I thought I would be terrified of turning 29, but that has not been the case. I'm actually excited! I mean...I would love to be in my 20s forever (mainly for the skincare benefits), but there's truly something beautiful about growing older. When I reflect upon what all has happened since last year, I'm truly amazed. To be transparent, I was in a pretty bad spot emotionally around this time last year. I was incredibly depressed, anxious and in some sense, hopeless. Yes, you read that right. I, Candace Read, was in a bad spot emotionally. It was not a very fun season, to say the least. However, it was through that season of trials that I gained a deeper understanding of myself. How to fight. How to push through. How to overcome. The last 365 days have been a true testament that a lot can happen in a YEAR. While I am by no means perfect (and I am not striving to be), I am thankful for where I am. I am thankful for life. And thankful to be yet another year older.
