If you know me then you already know I have a deep passion for all things bright and bold! According to my mom I’v always been that way, which I find pretty cool. LOL. Anywho, I found these wonderful punchy red crop pants from H&M last fall (along with a burgundy and black pair that I have already featured on the blog) and I’ve hardly even worn them! So while randomly rummaging through my closet I decided it was time to whip these babies out and style them : )

After making the mental decision that I was going to style these pants…the other pieces of the puzzle fell together rather quickly! My first addition was the ILY Couture fringe statement necklace. I picked it because the red fringe beading almost perfectly matched the punchy red pants! Also, I knew that I wanted to wear a red lip color.  So, combined, these three various shades of red work nicely together!

IMG_6276 The blue from the fringe necklace then led me to this Madewell boyfriend chambray I purchased this past August. This beauty was definitely pricey, but well worth the money! It goes with everything. And I really like the length…it’s perfect for butt coverage! IMG_6277

I then added the Zara suede booties that also, basically go with everything I wear. And yes, I chose a yellow monogrammed clutch.  I just really enjoy how red and yellow compliment each other! While most people try to avoid putting these colors together because it reminds them of ketchup and mustard, I try to do it as often as possible! Also, I think it works because I have a warmer skin tone. IMG_6282-2

And lastly, I threw on the wool jacket form Zara and the tortoise Ray Ban wayfarers to pull together the brown monogramming on the clutch and the brown Zara booties!

I would venture to say that the moral for today’s Get The Look Thursday is…don’t be afraid to try new color combinations! i.e. Ketchup and mustard colors…LOL. Also, give yourself the extra styling challenge by using an accessory to lead you to all the other pieces that you need for the look. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with what you come up with.

P.S. ILY Couture is having an awesome last minute sale on all bubble necklaces, bloom necklaces and their knit shrug. Be sure to check it out TODAY!
