A fresh twirl, because Monday is here and I’m ready! A while back on #igstories, I shared a profound quote from the most boss of babes I know, @themattiejames, that has quite literally shaped my approach to life for 2021. Her words were this, “You don’t have time to make small decisions in real time.”
.
.
I spent time thinking about my day-to-day and her words and realized how much time I wasted daily when I wasn’t taking the necessary steps to plan each element of my day. With that in mind, I decided to elevate my weekly planning and carve out approximately 3 to 4 hours of each weekend to get my entire life in order ahead of the week. There is no midweek planning, decision making or guessing...just EXECUTION. From meals to laundry to client lineup to social deliverables....EVERYTHING is mapped. The sacrifice to plan to be at this level is a hard one, but I get to live in peace Monday through Friday and for that, I’m thankful. Now granted, there are weekly curve balls, because life, but the planning allows me to clearly pivot and make the necessary adjustments. Simply put, no Monday scares here. Just plowing ahead and getting things done!
.
.
Over on stories, I did a quick glimpse into today’s check list (currently on #03). What are some of the ways you like to get prepared for the week? Also, would you like me to share some of the strategies I use to get my week in order ahead of Monday? #mondays #planahappylife #planning #getahead

It’s no secret. Your girl likes her hot tools! From straightening to adding my signature loose waves, I know that regular use of heat does come with some consequences. It can lead to dry, dull, frizzy and fragile hair if not nourished properly. Today on the site, I am giving you the inside scoop on one of the ways I keep my hair rescued and #ReadyForMore and that is with @pantene’s Miracle Rescue Collection. From the Miracle RescueDeep Conditioning Treatment to the Miracle Rescue Moisture Mix-In Treatment to the iconic Miracle Rescue Intense Rescue Shots, I can keep my preferred style, while this line of products works to reverse any damage and simultaneously adding moisture. It’s pretty much gold. I should also mention the Conditioning Treatment and Intense Rescue Shot repairs extreme damage and hydrates as well as a $60 treatment, which means more moo la in your pockets for that next color refresh appointment or that new spring fashion acquisition. Head to the blog, as I share a touch more about my hair journey and how I keep it rescued, despite the constant heat manipulation and styling! You can shop this collection online and in-store @target. #PanteneMiracleRescue #PanteneMiracleRescue #PanteneXTarget #TargetBeauty #AvailableAtTarget

I am currently enjoying wearing my hair in a short bob-like cut and STRAIGHT, which is trending at the moment. However, I am ready to grow it out a touch and will do so this summer! What are you ready for more in regards to hair? More heat, less heat? A touch of color? Hair styles that include darling hair accessories? Let’s chat about your Spring/Summer hair plans?

By the end of winter, I am beyond ready to shed some layers and reach for those crisp, clean and cheery pieces. I recently did a light refresh for the Spring from @jcrew to add into the wardrobe and they are giving me all the feels. Being the classic color lover that I am #injcrew always makes me feel my best. The balance of classic silhouettes and bold colors has always been my jam and this season is no different!

Only He Could Do It ✨ . . Easter isn’t a spiri Only He Could Do It ✨
.
.
Easter isn’t a spiritual fairy tale, but a real life account that showcases the redemptive love of the Father. A love so strong and unconditional that He willingly allowed His son to come to this Earth and restore the relationship that Adam and Eve had broken in the garden. Jesus, the second Adam, a man who would live without sin came knowing that His death was necessary, so that scripture might be fulfilled.

After 33 years of life, during the weekend of Passover, at 3 AM He was arrested and by daybreak He had been betrayed, denied and tried in court, which all led to the sentence of His death. By 9 AM He was crucified and hung on the cross until He gave up spirit and before He did, He spoke these words, “It is Finished.”
.
.
The scriptures that tells this account isn’t just another bible story, but rather the cornerstone of Christianity.  Because of Jesus and the work of the cross, my soul has been generously extended the opportunity to live. Only He could do this for me and because of that I am unexplainably grateful. Knowing the high price He paid, I delightfully, unselfishly and willingly allow Him to be the Lord of my life. Because if it were not for Him, I would be nothing.

The 3 D’s ✨💫🌟 . . No #AprilFools jokes h The 3 D’s ✨💫🌟
.
.
No #AprilFools jokes here (as I struggle with having a sense of humor, but am working on it), but I will leave you with solid wisdom that you can carry in your heart…Discipline, Desire, Delight.
.
.
I am firm believer that many of us get caught up in the wanderlust of our desires. We dream and desire in hopes of finding delight and freedom in our lives, which is great and ideal. But the key ingredient to finding delight is doubling back to our desire and putting discipline behind of it. Discipline allows us to fashion our hearts, to see the vision for our lives clearly and chase it with intention. Discipline can be hard and does not come naturally for most, but I can guarantee that when you apply discipline to the various areas of your life, you will find such freedom. I share this to say, don’t allow the temporary discomfort of discipline to scare you from doing what you know you were called to do in this season or even this lifetime.
.
.
What are some areas of your life where you need to apply discipline, so you can experience the delight of life down the road? For me personally, discipline in what I am eating daily and continued discipline in carving out quiet time, are both things that improve my overall well-being. #LetsChat #CandaceTruths
